Jan gained his expertise inter alia as a Senior Estate Controller at the Master of the High Court in Bloemfontein and distinguished himself with merits awards. He commenced practical legal training as a candidate attorney with Symington & de Kok in Bloemfontein where he started practicing as an attorney in 1985 and later opened his own practice as an estate expert in Pretoria, specialising in the administration of insolvent, deceased and curatorship estates, drafting of wills and trusts. He also acted as director and non-executive director in companies associated with a listed company and holds office as Trustee in various Employee Trusts Jan currently act as a consultant to the firm in respect of the administration of estates.
